A stabilizer works in conversation with your front wing, shaping how your foil feels through every pump and carve. Get the pairing right and the whole setup clicks.
The S-Series
S stands for stability. The S-series stabilizer is built to increase the stability and predictability of your foil so you can push harder with confidence. It features a low-aspect outline at 7.8 to 8.1 AR and a highly swept profile, both designed to keep the foil planted when you load it up.
Use it with the Siren and you get a setup that builds confidence. The Siren is Naish's new mid-aspect front wing at 8.2 to 8.5 AR, designed for control in critical situations. It already delivers a great combination of stability, glide, and maneuverability. The S-series doubles down on the stability side. The swept profile and low-aspect outline work together to keep the tail composed under load, which translates to surfier turns, more predictable behavior in steep sections, and the headroom to push your limits without getting punished for it.
The S-series comes in three sizes:
- 140 cm², 33.6 cm wingspan, 8.1 AR
- 180 cm², 37.4 cm wingspan, 7.8 AR
- 220 cm², 41.4 cm wingspan, 7.8 AR
A bigger stab adds support. A smaller stab adds glide. The Siren Semi-Complete ships with the S-series as the factory pairing, a solid baseline before you start tuning.
The E-Series
E stands for efficiency. The E-series stabilizer is built to increase the speed and carry of your foil. It features a moderate aspect ratio outline at 9.1 to 9.6 AR and a low-drag foil section that reduces resistance and boosts efficiency. Built from high modulus carbon fiber, it delivers a direct, connected feel through every pump and turn.
Pair it with the Excalibur and you have a setup built to cover ground. The Excalibur is Naish's new high-aspect front wing at 10.2 AR, designed for exceptional speed, pumping efficiency, and turning ability. The E-series matches that intent. The narrower outline and low-drag section reduce the load behind the front wing, so the foil carries speed longer, accelerates faster, and rewards every pump with more glide. The high modulus carbon construction adds the stiffness that keeps input and response locked together, with no soft spot between the two.
The E-series comes in three sizes:
- 135 cm², 36 cm wingspan, 9.6 AR
- 155 cm², 38 cm wingspan, 9.3 AR
- 175 cm², 40 cm wingspan, 9.1 AR
A smaller stab frees up glide and top end. A larger stab adds support for bigger front wings and lower speeds. The Excalibur Semi-Complete ships with the E-series as the factory pairing.
Cross-Pairings: Mixing the Setup
Pairings aren't locked in. The S and E are designed to play well with either front wing, and swapping the stab is the fastest way to change how your foil feels without changing the rest of your gear.
Run an S-series with the Excalibur and the high-aspect foil gets a surfier, more maneuverable feel. The swept low-aspect tail dials back the top end and adds turning bite, useful if you ride the Excalibur in waves or want more responsive direction changes.
Run an E-series with the Siren and the mid-aspect foil gains more speed and efficiency. The narrower tail reduces drag and stretches glide, useful if you log distance on the Siren or want it to carry through the dead patches between bumps.
Two front wings, two stabilizers, four distinct rides. Same fuselage, same hardware, completely different personality on the water.
Which Pairing Is for You
- Siren + S-Series. Maximum stability for waves, freestyle, and confident progression on a mid-aspect platform.
- Excalibur + E-Series. Maximum speed and glide for freeride, downwind, and pump on a high-aspect platform.
- Excalibur + S-Series. A surfier, more maneuverable feel from a high-aspect foil.
- Siren + E-Series. More speed and efficiency from a mid-aspect foil.
Size up the stab for more support. Size down for less drag and more glide. Match your front wing size when in doubt.
In Summary
Your front wing sets the platform. Your stabilizer sets the personality. The S-series and E-series give you two ways to fine-tune a foil setup without changing the rest of your gear, and the cross-pairings give you four real options inside the same system.
Stability or efficiency. Pick the one that matches the ride you're chasing.
