Challenging Naish SUP Downwind Race in Zeebrugge, Belgium
On Sunday, August 11, 2013 competitors tackled the spectacular 18 km long Naish Stand Up Paddle downwind course from Bredene to Zeebrugge.
Perfect wind and wave conditions made for an exhausting but spectacular race. Competitors were beyond stoked as this race marked the highlight of the SUP season in Belgium due to its technical aspects and challenging conditions.
With a time of over 1.5 hours, Naish riders Chantal van Ruler claimed top podium in the Women’s 12’6” class and Carla Schellart took a close second, less than a minute behind Chantal. Congratulations from all of us!
This wasn’t it for racing in Belgium though: Get ready for the next Naish SUP race on Sunday, August 18th in Zwolle, which will feature the spectacular and accessible N1SCO sprint races!
