Battle Of The Thames Takes Over London
Over 150 paddlers came together for the 10-mile Battle of the Thames event on May 17th, 2014 in London.
The team from Naish UK was present with the Naish/Blue Mile NISCO race team to help raise money for the Marine Conservation Society. With over twenty Naish ONE 12’6” Inflatable SUP boards on the start line, it provided quite a spectacle and offered some ONE design racing within the main fleet.
At the finish line, it was the fleet of Naish ONE’s that secured all three podium finishes in the inflatable division! Early season success at the previous “Head Of The Dart” race was surpassed with two Naish ONE’s breaking into the top 10 overall in the 12’6 fleet against all rigid boards with an incredible 4th place being secured by Ben Fisher!
Amongst the 20+ strong fleet of Naish ONE’s were numerous paddlers who were competing for the very first time and successfully completed the 10-mile course with smiles on their faces, making for a great achievement!
Congratulations everyone!
