The leading edge of the kite is ultrasonically welded –  electro-fused into one seamless piece. Instead of being made from 16 or 18 individual segments, it now functions as a single, unified structure. This dramatically improves handling by allowing steering input to transfer cleanly across the entire kite. You get a more balanced twist, smoother steering and a kite that flies faster and feels more responsive.
