The first stop of the 2014 Stand Up World Tour saw the 5th anniversary of one of the tour’s marquee events – the Sunset Beach Pro. After numerous “Lay Days”, the final event kicked off on Friday, February 14th with four rounds of four-man heats battling it out in conditions that could best be described as “challenging”.
The final round of the contest was an epic battle between Kai, Caio Vaz (BRA), Keahi De Aboitz (AUS), and Zane Schweitzer (HAW). At the end of the dramatic 30-minute heat, not to mention increasingly variable conditions, the final scores were tabulated and Kai righteously grabbed 2nd.
Amazing job Kai! Also sending some love to the rest of Team Naish for a job well done!
