Both Tom and Tim were joined by Naish teammates on each podium with Hood River local Vetea Boersma claiming third in the Under 21 Freestyle and Maui’s Kyle Kelmenson in second in the Under 15 Freestyle.
Tim Walsh also showed what he’s capable of with a little dedication to the park and has been uploading some great clips this summer from his time there on Instagram. His time spent in the park paid off as he took third place in the Park Grom division and also secured a wildcard spot for the upcoming Kite Park League Hood Jam where he will be joining Naish teammates Ewan Jaspan and Tom Seager.
“It’s always a good time to compete with friends and this year we had a solid team with Naish. We all had the perfect set up. I was riding the Torch and Stomp for both for freestyle and park. I am so happy to have been able to come out with everyone and already can’t wait for next year,” said Tim after the event.
In only its second year, the Hood River Junior Jam has continued to grow and does a great job of creating an event that really encourages riders to participate showcase the future of the sport.
“This was my 3rd event that I have competed in. It was very fun and a great learning experience. I rode the Pivot and the Motion. The winds are really gusty and strong here. That combo gave me just what I needed in the ups and downs of the wind. Thank you Naish and the organizers of the Junior Jam – Stoked!” said Kyle Kelmenson.
Expect to see a lot more coming from Naish’s Tom Seager, Tim Walsh, Vetea Boersma and Kyle Kelmenson in the future.
