Naish brings the heat in the 2013 Olukai SUP Race
The 2013 OluKai SUP Race took place this past weekend on Maui, bringing in over 336 stand up paddlers hitting the world famous 8 mile Maliko downwind run.
Naish’s Noa Ginella and Mariko Strickland made their marks on Maui with their Naish Javelin 14’ LE’s, clearing the competition and winning the SUP 14’ Class in the Men’s & Women’s Divisions in an impressive fashion. Kai Lenny also grasped 3rd in the Elite Open Men’s Division with help from the Naish Javelin LE Unlimited. Former Aussie Ironwoman Queen, Karla Gilbert, definitely got the most out of her Hawaii vacation and after the success from last year’s Imua Paddle, she now adds a 4th place finish in the Elite Division to her long list of achievements.
Other notable Naish finishes include Jerry Bess (1st in REC Men 40-49 Class), Ashley Baxter (1st in REC Women 18-29) and Kody Kerbox (8th in Elite Open Men).
Congratulations to all our Naish team riders who participated. You all rocked!
