Kevin Langeree Takes Second at Red Bull King of the Air 2015
Big Bay, Cape Town, South Africa, February 14-15, 2015 – With fickle winds giving way to heightened suspense, the highly anticipated final round of the 2015 Red Bull King of the Air Contest saw 2 #TeamNaish riders competing on their #NaishTorch, with Naish’s Kevin Langeree seizing second place for himself.
Running over the course of 3 days, the renowned event hosted 17,000 spectators and 24 of the world’s best big air kiteboarders eager to take the coveted title.
Bearing eight stitches on his hand—a cut he received while training earlier in the week—2014 defending champion, Langeree showed no apparent signs of weakness during the final round, putting up a strong performance against his competitors.
Said the first runner up, “As an athlete I, of course, want to win, but unfortunately it didn’t happen for me this year. I guess you win some and you lose some, but I must say a second place
Special congratulations is also due to fellow #TeamNaish rider Jesse Richman, who also made it to the final round, utilizing his Apex Bindings to show off some nice board-offs.
