Kai Lenny Crowned 2013 Stand up Series World Champion
Kai Lenny and his Javelin 12’6” LE have done it again. For the second year in a row, this powerhouse team has set the pace.
Not only is Kai currently ranked #1 in both the Stand up World Tour and the Stand Up World Series, he also recently won the Elite BOP Race and has already been crowned a 2x SUP Surfing World Champion, arguably making him the most decorated paddler in the sport’s history.
This year, like every year previous, Kai has taken SUP, kiting, windsurfing and plethora of other sports to new, exciting levels, making each trick, feat, and title his very own. This young and extremely promising waterman continues to inspire both the young and seasoned, on and off the water, by spreading his overflowing bucket of Aloha everywhere he goes with what seems like an insurmountable amount of positivity and stoke. And clearly, there’s no end in sight!
Kai has truly helped the SUP sport evolve into what it is now and what it can be in years to come. Naish is extremely proud to have watched this young man grow into his own year after year, becoming the man and athlete we always knew he was – all while having what seems like a permanent smile plastered across his face.
Congratulations to the rest of the Naish Team who rounded out the 2013 racing season with top 10 finishes: Casper Steinfath 4th; Kody Kerbox 6th and Noa Ginella 10th.
