Where is Kailua and what does the town have to offer?

Naish Hawaii is located in Kailua, on the windward site of Oahu, about 30 minutes away from the Honolulu International Airport. Kailua is a residential town, with a central business area that has several supermarkets, drug and department stores, theaters and several excellent restaurants.

Are there hotels in Kailua?

Although there are no hotels,, there are many private homes that rent rooms to visitors, along with cottages, apartments and larger homes that are available as short term vacation rentals. Most of the larger homes charge a small surcharge for stays under five days.

How much are the room rates?

Room rates range from $40.00 nightly single/shared bath -- to $50 nightly for private room and bath (for one or two persons)--studio apartments and cottages start at about $65 daily, 1 bedroom cottages and apartments average $85.00 to $125.00 daily and larger homes run from $150 to $300 daily, depending on size and location. There is also a 10% state tax added to vacation rentals.

When you have confirmed dates for your vacation, we'll check to see what is available in that time period and put you in touch with the property owner or manager so you can finalize your arrangements.

What about transportation?

Auto rentals are averaging about $150.00 weekly plus taxes & insurance. An excellent bus system will get you--but not your luggage and equipment--around the island for $1.50.
